We recently bought 2 van loads of fireplaces from the Borders which included 3 like this one, now fully restored (thought alas one of them requires some serious work). About as pretty a little fire as you could wish for, and with a reasonable sized opening so that you could have a half decent fire in it (15 inches) Dating to the 1870's-80's.
This one has now been sold and the only one we have left of this pattern is going to need some extensive blacksmith work which can be done, but isn't just yet.
