Unusual brown ish coloured marble fire surround

Rather a nice fire surround from the 1890's which I hand stripped during the lockdown in my garden. Its a most unusual colour, mainly a fairly warm brown but with streaks of crimson running through it, almost like an agate. In fact its so unusual that the man who sold it to us, from his flat off Byers road, scratched an area of the shelf with an old coin to show us the colour under the paint which has, of course, left an area the size of a 50p all scratched on the shelf which is most irritating. Almost as irritating as the fact I snapped the facia and as you cannot get this marble anymore, I've had to glue it, but its a neat break and its hidden by the veining. (it goes from top left to bottom right in the last pic).
Cracking fire though. shown with an early cast iron insert we bought in Fife last year.
