Tiled insert in teak (?) surround

Slightly unusual tiled insert in that it doesn't have 2 panels of 6 inch tiles either side of the fire, but a mosaic of little tiles. Nice brass finials too.
It came from a tenement in the Bruntsfield area of Edinburgh.
Its shown with a surround which as yet we've done nothing to, but it looks like it might be teak, I get a bit confused with some of my exotic hardwoods. Both dating to the 1880's.
The sizes shown below are for the outside dimensions of the surround and the metal insert itself, the internal sizes of the actual surround, which of course can be sold separately are 42 inches wide by just over 40 high.
Its an unusually good quality casting on this insert, the detailing on the canopy is superb, compare that a modern reproduction with all its lumps and bumps. No comparison.
