Fancy trim fire insert

There's a lot going on with this one. From a grand 1870's house in Edinburgh, from the drawing room where it sat in a carved marble surround (which was kept- having a stove installed instead).
I can't offhand remember who it was who drew birds like these, it wasn't William Morris or Walter Crane but it was someone of that ilk. Magnificent thing though, and with an 18 inch opening and its original brass handled ashpan. The metal is actually cast iron, its just been made to look more like brass.
There should be tiles up either side of the fire filling the gap between insert and surround.
