Pics pine surround and arched insert
This came from Edinburgh and looks like pitch pine but doesn't have the weight so may be cedar? Anyway, its a good looking fire, nice and clean with only a bit of damage at the bottom by the feet where they've been cut for a hearth. The easiest solution to this is either to trim the feet down or to cut a new hearth around the feet so that its hidden.
Its shown with an insert that may be elsewhere on the site, but is the biggest one we've ever had, measuring a whopping 46 inches tall by 42 wide, though still with a 16 inch opening. It came from a Georgian house near Dunbar and is certainly a really old fire and while the casting is really crisp, there are a couple of holes in the plate which I think have always been there, albeit filled in (and can be again) just ancient casting flaws I guess. Never seen an insert with the little skirting along the base either.
