Victorian Flagons

Rather sad, but these came from the loft space of where we used to buy a lot of our old chemicals on Gorgie road in Edinburgh which has now shut down, though in the interests of accuracy, their parent company, Charles Tennants are still going strong in Blantyre. Most of these have the odd chip to the lip, but then they would be pretty heavy when emptying and I reckon the chips are almost as old as the flagons themselves. They mainly come from 'Thompsons, rectifiers, Leith' or Sandersons of Newcastle upon Tyne' (they were near Jesmond) but there are a few odd ones from Dunfermline and Perth as well.
Pretty grubby when we lifted them down which made it all the more exciting.
