Really not sure what this is made from. The main pillar is marble but the base and top are either a very soft pale stone or plaster(which seems highly unlikely). We bought it from a church on the great western rd, but it apparently started life elsewhere, and someone in their wisdom has painted it orange, hey ho.
Its 40 inches tall and 18 across at the top. While its nice to think of it as a potential bird bath, I don't think it would last too well outside, though it has a plug hole, so must be fairly water resistant-though it does look like plaster, hmm, not sure.
