Details of Edwardian Fireplaces

Finally finished restoring this lovely fire from the South side of the city. It needed a bit of blacksmith work, and then shot blasting as it was so heavily painted, which means the tiled panels have to be removed (often a tricky and delicate operation) and then the tiles have to get stripped by hand and of course, while stripping a panel we found one tile in the middle of one side was a different colour, and so on it went, so I'm very gad that its finally come good. It came from a 1905 type house and whilst tall, has a fairly small opening (14 inches )which is more of a bedroom size.
